The boat is a 55-foot houseboat with the top deck completely covered. We would consider taking one of their other cruises, like seeing the Christmas lights around Discovery Bay, which is a shorter trip and has a lot more to see. We are glad we went but I doubt we would choose to do it again. But there was only one sofa where one could get comfortable enough to nap, and it was occupied the entire trip back. We had seen what little scenery there was and we were so sleepy from the delicious meal, we just wanted to relax and nap. The trip back was just plain long and boring. There service was good and the food was incredibly delicious! We mostly enjoyed watching the wide variety of speed boats zipping by us and the various draw bridges as we went under them.Īt Stockton we ate at Garlic Brothers. From the top deck you can see over the levy to the farm land so its a bit more interesting view. From the bottom deck there isn't much scenery other than the water, the high power lines, the ugly levy, and the three draw bridges we went under. We stayed at the bottom deck and had the entire front of the boat to ourselves all the way to Stockton. Upon boarding, everyone went to the top deck where the bar was. Those who are space challenged may want to be sure to use the facilities at both the Broadway Grill in Discovery Bay as well as their destination if they go ashore. While they are easy to use, the quarters are tight. But, those who are challenged will still have very good views and comfort from the main deck. The stairway to the above deck is narrow and steep. The above deck has the bar, a counter top island with stools and a number of individual padded chairs from which to view the scenery as well. It was a reasonably priced package and one of the best afternoons I have spent in a long time. We took a cruise from the Discovery Bay Yacht Harbor and went to Stockton where we had a very good lunch at Garlic Bros.
